The digital display with numbers allows you to read it easily and digitally. But since it's hard for your eye to follow a fast-changing digital display with certainty, the added analog display of the digital 3D button gives you reassurance when reading. In addition, a built-in LED shows you the status of the probing process using different colors, thus helping you prevent overflow and the resulting defects. 

With the digital 3D probe, you can quickly and easily determine the workpiece's zero points and length measurements in all axis directions (X/Y/Z) and adjust your workpiece or vise parallel to the machine axis.
